If you are looking to add another website to your school’s portfolio, you can’t forget about a traffic generation strategy.
Adding a new website is a fun part of what we do because we can be pretty free with branding, language and other things that are not always possible when you have to adhere to strict brand guidelines within your existing site.
Here’s a look at the growth pattern of a site we launched in 2013 and where the traffic landed after two years.
Companies often use microsites as a way to launch a new product or have another spot on the internet for potential customers to find you.
Micro doesn’t always mean tiny, and in the case of this site we did for a client, we actually added 150 pages of highly relevant, keyword-targeted content, several outreach pieces and started promoting the site both on the page level and sitewide.
Sometimes traffic can look flat for a while but then if things are done right your site will “pop” and it is fun to watch the site start to pull in traffic for all sorts of buying terms.
